We have started a program where we entertain at local nursing homes approximately twice per month. During these one hour shows, we focus on singing old-time songs, Broadway tunes and patriotic melodies that the seniors are familiar with. The seniors love it when young people come to visit, and they are so thrilled to hear us sing. It is truly a win-win situation as the seniors are so appreciative of us and we have the opportunity to share what we enjoy doing most. It is a rewarding experience for all.
This has been such an up-lifting experience for us that we hope to have other students participate in this program. We feel it would be a huge success, as there are so many talented young adults eager to share their musical abilities. For more information, please see our New Members page.
